Joel Harding BMus Jazz and Contemporary Music
Joel has played bass for over 8 years now, 6 of which were with a successful jazz band who have performed in such prestigious venues as the Royal Albert Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, The Jazz Café and the NEC in Birmingham to name a few. They also played a Gershwin and Porter set for Rowan Atkinson’s 50th birthday, appeared on two TV appearances and bagged an ‘outstanding performance’ award from Music for Youth. But in his spare time Joel loves to teach others how to play bass. Influences include Victor Wooten, Jaco Pastorius, Flea and Stuart Zender.
